Traditional CZECH GLASS BEADS used for creation of glass jewelry are made in JABLONEC NAD NISOU - KOKONIN to the North of the CZECH REPUBLIC.
Beads are designed and then produced SIKOLA BEADS DESIGN.
Our beads can be recognized into several categories. The main of them are table cut, pressed and fire polished beads.
Glass sticks are the basic material for manufacturing of the beads. The glass is pressed when it reaches a melting temperature which is different for each color. Shapes are pressed on a half-automatic machine that is an improved version of traditional hand made production. The second step is to work beads to rough surface condition using water and sand. Then they are ready for the third step which is grinding.For production we need a lot of other working procedure for example : surface coating, cuts, table-cut , shine etc...
Our small family company manufactures in JABLONEC NAD NISOU - KOKONIN region to the north of the CZECH REPUBLIC in the heart of the mountains.
We work on rediscovering of once forgotten shapes and articles from a distant past in the rich history of CZECH glass and artificial jewelry. We develop a new shades, color combinations and surface finishes for the old articles.
